Professor David Robie has a passion for the Asia-Pacific region. A journalist for more than 40 years, David has reported and published widely on postcolonial coups, indigenous struggles for independence and environmental and developmental issues in the Asia-Pacific. He recently retired as founding director of the Auckland University of Technology's Pacific Media Centre (PMC), and edits Pacific Journalism Review and Asia Pacific Report.
