Historian and lawyer Ned Fletcher is a director of the Manukau-based law firm, Kayes Fletcher Walker. Graduating from the University of Oxford with a BA in law, he studied history and law at the University of Auckland. His 2014 PhD thesis examined the meaning of the English text of the Treaty of Waitangi. Ned Fletcher is a trustee of the New Zealand Law Foundation and of the Judith Binney Trust, two organisations that support research and writing on (respectively) law and history in Aotearoa New Zealand.
