Nicola R. Wheen is a professor of Law at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka —University of Otago where she teaches Public Law, Environmental Law and International Environmental Law. Her current research interests include Treaty/ Tiriti law, New Zealand conservation law, and international law about whales and whaling.
Nicola's publications include chapters in Environmental Histories of New Zealand (2002) and The Law of Research (2003). With Janine Hayward, she edited The Waitangi Tribunal and Treaty of Waitangi Settlements. Nicola's other recent research interests focus on wildlife conservation.
