Tim Watkin

Tim Watkin has worked in journalism for nearly three decades. He has won numerous awards across print, TV, radio, and podcasting, including Journalist of the Year in 2006. He’s been deputy editor for the NZ Listener, founding producer of TVNZ’s Q+A, and Executive Producer at TV3’s The Vote and The Nation. Tim has written for international outlets including the Guardian and the Washington Post. He founded Pundit.co.nz, one of the country’s early political blogs, and led RNZ’s move into podcasting in 2016. Tim is currently Executive Editor, Audio, at RNZ and an industry rep on the NZ Media Council.
