Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa is the great ocean continent. For those Indigenous to the Pacific, the Moana was traditionally a connector and an ancestor. Imperialism, however, has created false divides between islands and separated their peoples.
In this Winter Series event, Lana Lopesi, author of the newly released BWB Text False Divides, talks with writer and curator Emma Ng about how globalising technologies and the adaptability of Moana peoples are turning our ocean back into the unifying continent that it once was.
