Making a place for new and different New Zealand voices

In a profile on the Big Idea website, Bridget Williams talks about the value of publishing, and how she values knowledge ‘as the intellectual imagination'.

She explains that she didn’t have ‘a great vision’ leading her to become an independent publisher, but that it just happened – and sometimes it was pretty scary along the way.

‘But there’s a lot of energy about what could happen here in publishing, and a whole generation of writers and thinkers coming through. It’s very valuable for me personally to be involved with that forward-looking activity.’
